By the time you get through all of these hurdles, you’re probably exhausted, and won’t seem as enthused as you initially was when you developed the campaign.

These are the kind of things that you have to learn about when running cold calling ads. You have to jump through many hoops just to get to the man in charge, and when you finally do get to him or her, you have to pitch your service with such enthusiasm than ever before. Here’s another strategy that is ineffective.

2) Selling door to door

This has to be the WORST marketing strategy ever invented. With door-to-door marketing, all you’re doing is walking door to door and trying to sell your product or service. I can remember one guy knocking on my door and when I opened it, there was a guy trying to sell me encyclopedias.

Why in the world would I be interested in encyclopedias when I already have hundreds of them scattered somewhere throughout my house? And I’m imagining that this is the same scenario that a lot of other people are in also.

So if you want to make more sales, don’t do door to door selling. It’s a strategy that is obsolete and shouldn’t be used by any type of entrepreneur. Hopefully you agree with me. There are other techniques out there that can boost your sales and profits quite immediately.

Cold calling and door to door marketing are certainly techniques that shouldn’t be used – no matter the industry you’re in.
